Today I am going to finish the final three aspects of selfish leadership. The final three are somewhat similar, deception, hypocrisy and hiding true feelings. When a leader displays any of these traits they are not only being dishonest with others but they are being dishonest with themselves. A sure fire way to lose control of your leadership abilities is to practice any of the seven traits I have mentioned. However, when you are deceptive or hypocritical or you hide how you really feel then it becomes lethal. I will briefly look at each one of these and give you 1 or 2 ways you can prevent yourself from using it. Deception – This is deceiving others, or shading/hiding the truth from others. The bible says that the truth will set you free. Be honest with those you lead. Far too often a leader will only share part of the information. This is detrimental to getting the job done. Do the right thing by being honest with yourself and others and you won’t fall into the deception trap. ...
